The King is Head of State in Tonga.  His official title is “His Majesty King Taufa’ahau Tupou IV”.  He also holds the paramount Tu’i Ha’atakalaua title of Tungi.  He is the constitutional Monarch of Tonga.  More information about King and state is provided in this section.
