Newly appointed nobles at Liukava

 

    His Majesty King George Tupou V appointed three new nobles 27 September 2006. HRH Prince Ulukalala, Lavaka, Ata, surrendered the Ulukalala and Ata titles and was bestowed the Tupouto’a title. Prince ‘Ahoeitu received both Ulukalala and Ata titles and surrendered Ata to Prince Unuaki ‘o Tonga.

    The appointments of the Tupouto’a title on HRH Prince Lavaka thus making him Tupouto’a and Lavaka. The ceremonial occasion was held in Liukava with the presence of the Queen Mother, Prime Minister, Royal family, Nobilities, Church members, families and friends.

    Hon. Ma’afu led the Palace Office in performing the appointment readings. After the ceremony, followed by worship, the three newly appointees met.
